Day 3
最後一天的重頭戲為「祭梅」，主要是要紀念清華第一任校長「梅貽琦」先生。梅花是不畏嚴寒、冰清玉潔，是清華的象徵，從北京清華到新竹清華，梅校長一生都奉獻給清華園，最後在任內逝世。校方建立了「梅園」讓校長長眠於清華園，並紀念這位半生與清華相繫的大家長。每年新生都會去祭拜梅校長，讓梅校長見見新的清華人，而梅竹賽前也會去祭梅，祈求旗開得勝。
最後我們在體育館進行結訓，學長姐們給我們一人一個玻璃瓶，裡面放著寫著未來夢想或是想要對自己說的話的紙條，要四年後的畢業典禮再打開。
這三天十分感謝所有參與領航營籌備的學長姐們，不一樣的新生領航營，讓我在3天中愛上了清華，也已可以身為清華人為榮。
The most indispensable plot int this freshmen camp was the memorial ceremony to our President Mei. While plum blossom is the symbol of NTHU as its pride and insistence made it become our school’s symbolic flower. President Mei was a man who had given all his life to Beijing Tsing Hua to Hsinchu Tsing Hua. Sadly, he died during his president term. Consequently, the school built the Plum blossom memorial garden in order to memories this great president of Tsing Hua. It has become a tradition for freshmen and the players of the ‘’Meu Chu Contest’’ to pray to President Mei to get fortune.
In the end, we wrote some words to ourselves in the future and put it in the time capsule, planning to open it four years later after graduating.
Thanks to those seniors who did such a great amount of preparation to let our freshmen camp be so wonderful. In these 3days, I have already loved this school amd been proud of being one of Tsing Hua people.
