Day 1 賀陳弘校長「四個一」、為公書院、脫口秀形式與一級長官談話、音樂系學長姐教導唱校歌、校旗協作
賀陳弘校長在致詞時，送給24級清華新生「四個一」:至少顧好一門功課、去一個不熟悉的地方旅行、給自己一個時間獨處，並和一個討厭的人對話。也歡迎今年因為疫情關係而加入的「為公書院」的學生，希望他們能在清華體驗大學生活，有了為公書院，清華園就有了總共四個書院:厚德載物、天下為公。致詞結束更拉下清華校訓:厚德載物，自強不息。
有別於以往新生訓練將新生聚集在大禮堂，以致詞方式讓一級行政長官說明工作內容，今年讓學生在體育館，主持人學姊以對談脫口秀方式，將現場當作客廳，不只對於職務內容詢問，也請教教授的專業，讓學生與教授拉近距離，如:焦傳金教務長研究烏賊的腦部特質，且開授熱門的通識課程「當代認知神經科學:腦與心智」，希望將生物知識傳授給不只生科院的學生。
或是總務長將引進不同的美食，讓總是被學生稱為「美食沙漠」的新竹，在清華小吃部及風雲樓、水木餐廳，可以成為沙漠中的綠洲。
今年更是請來音樂系學長姐教唱校歌，專業的歌聲及親民的教學方式讓總是羞於開口的新生在學長姐的帶領下，以歌詞認識清華。之後也在操場讓各院新生在校旗上簽名，讓24級新生一起組成更棒的清華園。
2020 National Tsin Hua University Freshmen Camp
This year, our school held a new form of freshmen training for the 24th students in NTHU.
We first invited our principle, Mr, Hong Hocheng, introduced 4 points to us. Working hard in at least one profession, having a trip to anywhere you are not familiar, giving yourselves 15 minutes to meditate, and the last one, having a meal with someone you really hate.
Moreover, because of the COVID-19, NTHU has established a residential college in order to welcome those students who planed to study abroad can experience the college life here.
Different from before, juniors arranged a talk show to ask our executives of every offices. It made us feel funny at the same time the professor introducing his jobs.
In the end, the junior from the department of music taught us sing the Tsin Hua College Song. We finished the first day in everyone’s sound.
