When Becky was saved from the death by changing a new heart, she found that sometimes what she performed were not like what she would do before. Such like painting the wall into sky-blue suddenly, having great desire of eating nuts sandwiches, feeling strange when seeing the reflection of herself from the mirror, and getting some familiar feeling when she walked by a park.
Everything got better when she met Sam, who made her heart felt stable. By a deep conversation, she knew that the body she used now was not totally belong to herself while she had Karen ’s heart, the new heart’s pre-owner. It was necessary to have some connection between her and Karen. However, if it was not the pre-owner’s sacrifice, she would not have the chance to survive and begun her new life. Hence, she must be healthy alive to enjoy the active power of life for Karen.
Accordingly, Becky tried to understand more about Karen and Sam through her every heartbeat.
